Paula Pendarvis

is a New Orleans based media specialist with 40 years experience in television news and original content creation.  She worked as a television news producer in New Orleans and Dallas before returning to her hometown of New Orleans to lead an innovative local programming unit which developed and produced successful entertainment, sports, and issues-related television shows for the local market and regional syndication.  Pendarvis built a TV news department from scratch and led it successfully for eight and a half years before launching her career as an independent producer/writer and media consultant in 2005.

 

In her local television days, Pendarvis was a co-creator of the beloved New Orleans television program Friday Night Football (in its 29th season), and co-creator of the late Brandon Tartikoff’s developed in New Orleans game show “Know it Alls.”

 

She is an experienced broadcast logistics coordinator, having planned and executed news coverage of major complex events in New Orleans including the visit of Pope John Paul II, multiple Super Bowls, opening day of the World’s Fair, Mardi Gras, and the GOP National Convention.

 

As an independent producer, she created content and/or coordinated coverage for ABC News, NBC News, CNN, Independent Film Channel, The Discovery Channel, Food Network, HGTV, NBA Entertainment, New Orleans TV stations WYES, WDSU, and WWL, and for corporate and non-profit clients.

 

As a media consultant, Pendarvis uses her behind the scenes news experience to develop successful strategies to promote  positive news coverage for the people and organizations she represents.
